At The Arlington, our top priority is taking care of residents, their families and our associates. 

 

In July, healthcare communities like Oakton Place at The Arlington, including Hearthstone, began the testing of all associates who are employed within healthcare communities every two weeks. We have received 52% of test results and expect more results today. No residents have had direct exposure with these associates. In addition to the nine positive test results shared yesterday, three more associates have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Associates who had direct contact with these colleagues have been notified. We will again be testing all associates within Oakton Place at The Arlington the third week of July. We continue to test any resident who is symptomatic. The return to work procedure and timing for associates who test positive for COVID-19 follows guidance from the Florida Department of Health, Collier County Health Department and The Arlington’s policy.

 

As you are aware, we have actively implemented protocols as set forth by the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health to protect our residents, patients and team members.

 

  • Restrict all visitation except for certain compassionate care situations, such as end of life residents

  • Restrict all volunteers and non-essential health care personnel (e.g., barbers)

  • Active screening of residents and health care personnel for fever and respiratory symptoms

  • Universal masking for all associates and external caregivers

 

We know, especially during these trying times, these restrictions are incredibly difficult for everyone. We do appreciate your partnership in helping The Arlington to vigilantly navigate the challenges of COVID-19. Thank you so much for your continued prayers, support and understanding.

July 9, 2020

 

In July, healthcare communities like Oakton Place at The Arlington, including Hearthstone, began the testing of all associates who are employed within healthcare communities every two weeks. Within Oakton Place at The Arlington, our associates were tested July 3. Yesterday, July 8, we received confirmation of nine positive cases of COVID-19 from those tests. We have received 40% of test results and expect more results today. No residents have been in direct contact with these associates. Associates who had direct contact with these colleagues have been notified. We will again be testing all associates within Oakton Place at The Arlington the third week of July. We continue to test any resident who is symptomatic. The return to work procedure and timing for associates who test positive for COVID-19 follows guidance from the Florida Department of Health, Collier County Health Department and The Arlington’s policy.

June 12, 2020

 

On June 12, an asymptomatic associate who works within the Independent Living culinary department at The Arlington tested positive for COVID-19. Associates who had direct contact with these individuals have been notified. This individual was not in contact with residents. The return to work procedure and timing for associates who test positive for COVID-19 will be followed. 

June 5, 2020

 

On June 5, two associates who work within Oakton Place at The Arlington’s assisted living tested positive for COVID-19. Residents and associates who had direct contact with these individuals have been notified. The return to work procedure and timing for associates who test positive for COVID-19 follows guidance from the Florida Department of Health, Collier County Health Department and The Arlington’s policy.

COMMUNITY HEALTH UPDATE:

The Arlington and Oakton Place at The Arlington are both currently welcoming new residents and patients with advanced screening, recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), in place.

Within Oakton Place at The Arlington (assisted living, memory care and healthcare), we cannot accept food deliveries from the extended community, including restaurants.
